New research found in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry finds that vegetarians may be lacking vitamin B12, which people can get when ingesting animal meats, fish and dairy products.

Alexandra Caspero, R.D., says it’s tough to get enough B12 from an all-vegetable diet.

“There can be some B12 in sea vegetables,” says Caspero. “But it varies so widely that it’s not a reliable source.”

Vitamin B12 is important because it helps prevent brain shrinkage and heart disease, and it helps the body maintain good energy levels, according to Men’s Health.

Maintaining healthy nutritional habits and trying to educate yourself on the topic can be confusing with all of the conflicting information out there, but it never hurts to learn new things.

My experience So Far Taking Zija – Moringa Oleifera

Well here is a little bit about me first of all. I am just a little over 30 and a fairly healthy and active guy. I enjoy going outside and exploring places and have been to Mexico 5 times in the last 2.5 years. I am married and have a 7 year old daughter.

1 Mango diced
2 Roma tomatoes diced
1 Purple onion minced
1 Orange bell pepper diced
1 Red bell pepper diced
1 Yellow bell pepper diced
1/2 cup of Pineapples diced

Throw all ingredients into a sauce pan on medium and let simmer for about 25 minutes

It’ll stay in the fridge for about two weeks depending on how fresh your produce is.

The mango salsa goes great as a snack or topped on chicken with brown rice

ATLANTA (AP/WA0K) – Coca-Cola plans to run its first ad defending the safety of artificial sweeteners, a move that comes as the company looks to stem declining sales of diet soda.

The print ad is set to run in USA Today in the Atlanta area Wednesday, followed by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Chicago Tribune. It says that diet drinks can help people manage their weight and stresses the evidence showing the safety of aspartame, commonly known by the NutraSweet name.

The ad represents the next phase of a campaign Coca-Cola Co. launched in January to push back at health critics.

The first ads outlined the company’s commitment to fighting obesity and pointed to the many diet options it offers. Now Coca-Cola is trying to reassure people that those lower-calorie drinks aren’t harmful.

The problem is that much of the data is expressed in percents and some of those percents can be misleading. This lesson is designed to enlighten students about how to calculate percent of calories from fat, carbohydrates, and protein. The calculations are made to determine if a person can follow the Zone Diet with only McDonald’s food items.

Students will:
